Nut size typically runs medium-to-large, generally in line with the wider West and Central African RCN belt, and shell oil content is generally moderate-to-high, consistent with nuts grown under the hot, sharply defined dry season of the northern regions. Moisture consistency at intake tends to be more variable than in origins with centralized collection infrastructure, since drying happens largely at the farm or village level before nuts ever reach a buying station. Batches arriving at a processing site are also commonly mixed in size and condition, because RCN from many small farms is bulked together before sale.
None of this makes Cameroonian RCN harder to process — it simply means a cutting line benefits from some tolerance for batch-to-batch variability rather than being tuned narrowly for one uniform nut profile.
